Strength Beyond Power Poetry Collection – Strength & Power

Strength & Power is the second poem from my latest poetry collection and was influenced by the beautiful people around me, and the thoughts that cloud me. Enjoy.

Power over the mind and strength to live another day,

It isn’t easy when your mind is clouded with thoughts on how to go on when you have nothing going on,

Doubt your ability to live on because you can’t see immediate progress,

But let me express this,

To wake up each day is strength at its finest,

To live a life you may not want to live but do what you can and give what you can give,

Power over the mind when you smile but inside you feel like you could die,

Poetry doesn’t have to be about blood or roses all the time,

So judge my style if you wish but it’s mine,

Draw your own line in the sand and create a new time,

Because having power over time means to use time effectively and efficiently,

From eating bread and sardines to writing and creating beautiful history,

I show the strength to roll on when fear was once strong,

But now replaced with peace and love,

That fear is gone.
