Special Poem: Pray For Ferguson

With everything that Ferguson as a community have experienced since the shooting of Mike Brown, I felt the need to write something dedicated to them to show my respects, and that things need to change.

Pray For Ferguson
Ferguson I feel your pain as the verdict stains your hearts with anger,
Another black man down and the law sees this as okay,
Yet invest so much energy trying to keep your justifiable riots at bay,
We’ve been saying we need change since slavery,
But clearly we’re still slaves to the enemy posed as a protector,
If we’re all part of humanity why is the black man being hunted?
They think they’re superior when the warrior is in us,
They’ve taken Trayvon Martin & Mike Brown plus how many others and still can’t break us down,
So Ferguson,
Be strong to help these names live on and stand your ground cause you’re not in the wrong,
This race battle has gone on for too long but as a unit,
Our only option is to stand strong.
