War Of Minds: Winter Blues

Winter Blues

Your absence makes my heart grow fonder as I listen to the sound of thunder,

No longer feeling your warm embrace this winter,

The blues hit me harder than ever,

A minute seems like forever and it doesn’t get better as minutes go by,

Come to me let me show you what love is meant to be,

Take you to a new high,

Because high is all I know when I’m feeling low without you,

These raging thoughts could create raging floods if they had the power to,

I don’t know what it is that you do but I hate when you leave me with these winter blues.

No clues as to where you’re going and if you’ll be back as the lack of communication leaves much to the imagination,

When I’m out here going crazy thinking everyone’s out to get me,

You keep me steady,

Ready for the next dose of life that’s thrown at me,

Can’t you see we keep each other grounded,

That sounded cliche but that’s the concept of love,

For me to keep your head above water when you think the world wants to slaughter you,

I’ll always be here for you but when you’re far from me,

All I have are these winter blues that constantly dawn on me.
