#PoetryLovers: Sympathy For Syria

It’s been a long time since I’ve done a poetry post on here, so here is a poem a put of thought into earlier.

As we listen to the hussle and bussle of everyday life,
There’s a wife without a husband and a child without a life,
Some people think about it,
Acknowledge it,
Some people Forget,
Yet the conflict remains and I’m thinking what’s next?
I mean we complain about late trains, rainy days,
Children lie awake for days wondering how they’ll make it to their next stop,
Not another drop is all they’re asking for,
But war is more important than the future of the world,
A world that has been cold for too long,
Change is needed,
Threats need to be defeated but peace needs to succeed,
World powers execute your powers in a considerate way,
There are innocents being taken away, families with nowhere to stay,
It’s time to show love and for this love to grow,
So the future of the world will know it will be here tomorrow.
